Gold slipped after the Fed held and offered little clarity on a December hike, leaving a still-live energy-inflation overlay as the opportunity cost of holding bullion even as the dollar eased only modestly. Chair Warsh said inflation remains too high even as the committee chose patience, and today's in-line PCE kept that hike in play. The ECB later held and confirmed Lagarde's early exit.
