The Nasdaq Composite closed 27,599.79, up 0.4 percent, a new closing record above Monday's 27,477.31. The Dow closed 51,521.28 (+0.5 percent). The Russell 2000 closed 2,830.30, down 0.6 percent, after Monday's 2,847.14. Mega-cap indexes printed records while smaller companies faded. The 10-year yield eased to about 5.27 percent from Monday's about 5.31 percent and a high near 5.35 percent.

Story of the Day: Google Locks 3,590 MW With Constellation
Google contracted 3,590 megawatts from Constellation Energy, the session's defining print (Reuters, Google). A 20-year power purchase agreement covers 890 megawatts of nuclear uprates at 11 Constellation units in Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, with the first upgraded plant due in 2028 and more than 4.3 billion dollars of investment. A separate 15-year supply agreement covers another 2,700 megawatts on the PJM grid. Constellation Energy closed 300.40 dollars, up 12.3 percent (StockAnalysis), after a high of 309.80. Vistra and Talen Energy also jumped as the nuclear complex bid.
Marvell Technology hosted investor day. Management raised fiscal 2028 revenue to about 20 billion dollars from 18 billion and sketched fiscal 2031 revenue of 70 to 90 billion dollars (Motley Fool, Investing.com). The stock closed 287.01 dollars, up 5.8 percent, after a high of 301.27, as much as 11 percent on the day. Nvidia closed about 239.24 dollars, a small gain from Monday's 238.90 record after a high near 243. Lamb Weston jumped about 9 percent after adjusted earnings of 0.75 dollars a share beat estimates. Option Care Health jumped about 33 percent after a McKesson and CD&R take-private at 32.05 dollars.
West Texas Intermediate last printed about 89.86 dollars (FT 89.86, range 86.86 to 90.05). This morning's about 88.63 and the 88.55 low both gave way; the bounce then repaired most of the slide. The September 29 high at 94.74 remains the scare marker. Spot gold last printed about 4,164 dollars (TradingView 4,164.135; GoldPrice.com 4,164.24), through this morning's 4,152 high, still below 4,200. Investing.com's range ran 4,103.70 to 4,184.48.
